Gutter clearing in Billericay, Hanningfield and Wickford
Blocked gutters overflow, stain brickwork and can let damp into your walls. We clear gutters, and the tops of the downpipes, on homes across Billericay, Hanningfield and Wickford, removing leaves, moss and silt so rainwater runs away as it should.

How we do it
Gutters are cleared from the ground with a gutter vac: a powerful vacuum on a long, lightweight pole that sucks out leaves, moss and silt, with no ladders against your guttering. We clear the full run at the front and back of the house, and clear the top of each downpipe, which is where blockages usually form. Garages, porches and extensions can be included.
We do not clear gutters that have gutter hedgehogs (brush guards) fitted inside them.
Late autumn, once the leaves have come down, is the most popular time. It is also worth booking as soon as you see water spilling over the edge in the rain.

What is included
- Front and rear gutters cleared with a gutter vac
- Leaves, moss and silt removed
- Tops of downpipes cleared, where blockages usually form
- Garage, porch and extension gutters on request
What we need from you: Access to a power socket to run the gutter vac.

Gutter clearing: common questions
How often should gutters be cleared?
Once a year for most homes, ideally in late autumn after the leaves have fallen. Homes close to trees may need their gutters cleared twice a year.
Do you need anything from me?
Yes, access to a power socket to run the gutter vac. An outside socket is ideal. If the nearest one is indoors, let us know when you book so someone can be in on the day.
How do you clear gutters without a ladder?
We use a gutter vac: a high-powered vacuum on a long pole, operated from the ground. It lifts leaves, moss and silt straight out of the gutter, which is safer than working from a ladder.
Can you clear gutters that have gutter hedgehogs in them?
No. We do not clear gutters with gutter hedgehogs (brush guards) fitted. If you are not sure whether you have them, mention it when you send your photos.
Do you clear the downpipes?
We clear the top of each downpipe, which is where blockages normally form.
How can I tell if my gutters are blocked?
The usual signs are water spilling over the edge when it rains, damp patches or green staining on the wall below, plants growing out of the gutter, or a downpipe that stays dry during rain.
Is gutter clearing the same as gutter cleaning?
No. Gutter clearing removes what is inside the gutter so water can flow. Cleaning the outside of the gutters, fascias and soffits is a separate service that removes dirt and green staining from the plastic.
